We were approached by our client to remove all asbestos roofing sheets, wall cladding and glass from their gymnasium to make way for the new Hall. In addition they required the demolition and dismantling of a number of mobile classrooms and sheds that were now redundant on their site.
During the pre construction phase, it was necessary to work closely with our client to establish a strict time frame in order to accommodate schools half term, and achieve all asbestos disposal before the students returned to site.
Asbestos air monitoring was undertaken throughout the project for our clients peace of mind.
All health and safety measures were undertaken, and RAMS (risk assessment and method statement) discussed on site before works commenced. The gymnasium had scaffolding and safety nets installed before the removal of all the sheets was undertaken.
